Welcome!

My name is Juanita Bloomfield. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics (2023) from the University of Amsterdam and Tinbergen Institute, and I am currently an Assistant Professor at Universidad de Montevideo.

My research lies at the intersection of economics of education, family economics, and impact evaluation. I study the effects of educational and social programs, particularly in early childhood, on children’s development, parental practices, and early learning environments, using experimental and quasi-experimental methods in diverse contexts. 

I am a JPAL invited researcher and board member of LangVIEW.
