What is Ju-Jitsu?

Originally, the term Ju-Jitsu essentially meant the science of softness. However, today, the name Ju-Jitsu is used as a blanket/umbrella term to describe a wide variety of various forms of Martial combat (Budo) that can encompass hand-to-hand training as well as the practice of Martial Arts weapons (Kobudo). This includes the old, more traditional style of Ju-Jitsu (Koryu) right through to the more modern-day variations of Ju-Jitsu (Gendai).
