Jessica Trespalacios Julio

Welcome to my homepage!

I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematical Engineering (DIM) at Universidad de Concepción. Previously, I was an Fondecyt ANID postdoctoral researcher, with the project: Unsolved Integrability Mysteries: from Kadomtsev-Petviashvili solitons to Einstein's Black Holes, at Universidad Austral de Chile, under the supervision of Prof. Felipe Poblete.

I completed my Ph.D. Thesis at Department of Mathematical Engineering (DIM) of the Universidad de Chile, under the advice of Prof. Claudio Muñoz and Prof. Miguel Á. Alejo. Previously, I obtained my M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics at the Universidad de Puerto Rico, at Mayaguez, and my B.Sc. in Mathematics at the University de Cartagena.

My research interest

I work at the interface between nonlinear dispersive PDE, integrable systems and mathematical general relativity, with a particular interest in the dynamics and stability of soliton-type solutions arising from Einstein's equations.
