Activity Requirements

In order to be an active member or candidate you must meet certain activity requirements. These requirements will change depending on if you are a member or candidate. If you are an associate, you do not have set activity requirements, but can qualify for candidacy in the future.

In order to track and keep up with attendance we ask that you fill out this Google Form for every activity you complete and meeting you attend. If you are unable to fill out the form please speak with or email Mya Brown (kbrown59@stu.jsu.edu).

If you have any questions about meetings or activities please feel free to contact an officer or advisor.

If you are interested in joining BAP please fill out the Google Forms.

In order to join there is a one-time membership fee of $85. There will also be an annual membership fee of $35 due the semester after you join. Additionally, associates are asked to pay $25 fee and do not have traditional requirements

You may give cash or a check (Payable to JSU Beta Alpha Psi) to Mark Sawyer (msawyer2@stu.jsu.edu). You can also pay over PayPal (jaxstatebap@gmail.com), please include your name and student number if you do this.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible to join Jacksonville State University's Nu Phi Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi you must:

have declared or have intention to declare a major in Accounting or Finance AND
- have completed at least one upper level course in your major (Accounting or Finance) by the end of Fall 2025 OR
- have successfully completed ACC 200 and ACC 210
have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all major courses (ACC 200 & 210 not included) AND
have attained an overall GPA of at least 3.0** AND
not be planning to graduate before Spring 2026

**If you do not have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and you are still interested in joining, there are a few exceptions to this rule. Please see Mr. Sudduth for details.
