Cash Policy
All cash payments must be sealed in an envelope with the Student's Name and Amount written on the outside of the envelope. Cash Payments should be deposited into the red Mailbox outside of the band room. This is a secure location that is checked regularly by our Band Treasurer.
Check Policy
In an effort to reduce JSMS Band Association losses due to returned checks, the following procedures are instituted:
Once the treasurer is aware a check has been returned or refused by the bank, an email will be sent to the family stating their check has been returned. The family must reimburse the JSMS Band Association for the amount of the check as well as any bank charges that have been incurred. Reimbursements must be in the form of cash or a cashier's check.
Whenever possible, merchandise will be withheld until such time as the reimbursement has been made (eg t-shirts, etc).
No student will be allowed to participate in the Spring Rewards trip if they have outstanding balances owed to the JSMS Band Association.
Once a student has had a check returned, the band will no longer accept checks from that family. All future payments must be in the form of cash or cashier's check.
