About Me

Jordan Smith is a self-educated composer with 20 years of experience composing and performing classical-style piano music. He lives in Littleton, Colorado, where he teaches private piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities. His expertise in Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism, particularly its epistemology,  gives him an edge in teaching. He teaches musical concepts with precision, and respects the hierarchical nature of learning by building a solid foundation and honestly assessing each student's demonstrated abilities as the starting point for rapid and efficient progress, building mastery upon mastery. His warmth, enthusiasm, and patience are apparent to all who have learned from him. When not composing music or teaching piano, Jordan enjoys reading, participating in his book club, listening to hi-fi music, brewing Gong-Fu tea, and going on hikes with friends.
