For the Mini-Bang, writers are required to submit one or more fics set in any of the JRWI campaigns and will be partnered up with an artist who will be making an illustration accompanying the fic.
These fics must be works that have not been posted on AO3 or shared in public before.
The minimum words for the fic must be 2k words. There is no word count limit on the fics, so go ham if you'd like :)
Authors are allowed to explore dark or heavy themes or topics in their work. That said, all such content must be thoroughly tagged, and if major archive warnings apply, fics must be marked as such. Additionally, when providing summaries to artists, all potentially triggering content must be mentioned. This is important so that artists and readers can make informed decisions about what content they are comfortable consuming.
Make sure to tag your works appropriately. We'd want everyone to have fun and also for everyone to feel safe, so mark and tag your works appropriately.
These fics must not be shared publicly while you're working on it, there is the discord server for you to discuss your works where you may discuss with the other writers and beta readers to gain their input.
However, there will be a few days before the final posting day, where the writers may choose to tease their works if they so please.
Regarding dropping out of the minibang: if the writer decides to drop out of the event they may let me (@zoppzoop/lish) know about it and will have the choice to hand their fic wip/idea over to a pinch hitter who would then continue their work and work with their team of artists and beta readers in their place. if they do not wish to give their fic over to a pinch hitter they may leave the event (not necessarily the discord server, don't worry) and the artists would be assigned to other writers based on the artists preferences.
If one or more of their assigned artists/beta readers drop out, the team might be assigned a pinch hitter to fill their spot.
For this Mini-Bang, the artists are required to create one or more illustrations and will be partnered up with a writer who will be creating the fanfiction that they’ll illustrate for.
During the summary selection, artists will be able to tell which stories they are the most interested in illustrating.
These artworks, at minimum, must be flat coloured pieces. You may make them full renders if you'd like to (it would be preferable if you did). You can also make multiple pieces of art if you so wish.
These artworks must not be shared publicly while you're working on them. There is the discord server for you to discuss your work.

Regarding dropping out of the minibang: if an artist wishes to drop out of the minibang they may let me (@zoppzoop/lish) know about it and will have the choice to give their wip/idea to a pinch hitter who may continue their work or might start a new piece depending on their choice. If their writer decides to drop out, they would either be assigned a pinch hitter who would finish said writers wip/idea or the artist might be assigned to a new team which is on the list of their preferences.
Beta readers will be required to beta one or more fanfictions
Just like artists, beta readers can choose what summaries they would like to work with, but beta readers should keep in mind that not all writers may want a beta reader thus there might be some beta readers who might end up not being on any team or there may be multiple in a team.
Regarding dropping out of the minibang: If a beta-reader decides to drop out of the minibang their writer might be assigned a pinch hitter to beta read for them depending on the availability.

A pinch hitter’s role is to step up in the case a participant drops out from the event
Pinch hitters will be asked if they want to pinch hit for a certain fic or artwork, which they may accept or not.
They may or may not be handed an existing WIP to work on. If not they would have to come up with something from scratch
