The Journal of Remote Sensing and Environment (ISSN: 1560-201X) is a multidisciplinary journal published by the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO). It publishes original research papers, reviews, technical notes, and communications covering remote sensing science and its applications to various sectoral studies. The journal aims to publish research that benefits the community and makes it accessible to everyone in need of it. This journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to multi-spectral and hyperspectral remote sensing, active and passive microwave remote sensing, image processing and pattern recognition, data fusion and data assimilation, dedicated satellite missions, spaceborne, airborne and terrestrial platforms and various applications of advanced remote sensing techniques (e.g., UAV-SfM photogrammetry, Lidar, and VR) in various sectors such as-
o Water resources management
o Agriculture crop monitoring and crop information science
o Forestry resource monitoring and management
o Fisheries resource mapping and monitoring
o Fluvial-geomorphology and sedimentology
o Oceanography and marine resource management
o Climate change impacts and adaptation and
o Disaster monitoring and risk management in Bangladesh as well as around the world.
The scope of the journal also encompasses disciplines such as-
o Development of space technology (CubeSat, Rocket propulsion, Robotics, and UAV)
o Rocket dynamics
o Astrophysics and space debris
o Material sciences in space
o Space plasmas in the solar system
o Lunar and deep space observation
