We strive to engage families, and community stakeholders as active partners in nurturing academic achievement and promoting the overall success and well-being of our school.
The Mission of the James Ryder Randall Elementary School Parent Community Advisory Council (PCAC) is to strengthen partnerships among families, school staff, and community members to ensure that all students thrive. We are committed to promoting equity, inclusivity, and collaboration by creating opportunities for parent engagement, supporting student learning, and fostering a school culture where every child can succeed.

The PCAC provides a space where members collaborate and share input on key areas of school life:
Advising on budget priorities, programs, and district-led functions.
Supporting school events, activities, and family engagement initiatives.
Creating partnerships with local organizations to benefit the school community.
Raising funds and seeking donations to directly support student needs.
For the 2025–2026 school year, the PCAC will:
Hold regular meetings with the Executive Board (typically monthly, with frequency determined by need).
Actively engage in decision-making related to programs, budget, and personnel initiatives.
Work closely with parents, staff, and community partners to design programming that enriches learning and strengthens family support systems.
Recruit parent and community volunteers to help carry out projects and events.
This year’s focus is on fundraising and donations to build the school’s resources and ensure equity for all students. Specifically, we aim to:
Restock the school’s uniform inventory so that every child has reliable access to uniforms.
Provide educational, family, and community programming that supports both student learning and family well-being.
Strengthen partnerships with local residents, businesses, and organizations to extend the impact of school-based initiatives.

By contributing time, ideas, and membership dues, PCAC members have a direct hand in shaping the school community and ensuring that students have access to the resources they need.
