Some active projects

• Virtualization of Network Switches in P4 (with Weverton Cordeiro). Our goal is devising a mechanism for enabling hard virtualization of network switches written using the P4 language.
• Fault Tolerance Techniques for Superscalar Processors (with Antonio Beck and Gabriel Nazar). Our goal is devise selective fault tolerance techniques for superscalar architectures (Berkley Out-of-Order Machine - BOOM).

Collaboration overview

I’m mostly involved with fault tolerance techniques for advanced architectures, but I also do some research in the intersection of networking with hardware acceleration and reconfigurability. For each research problem, I try to establish a collaboration (often multidisciplinary, at national and international level) to ensure that the work is analyzed from different perspectives. Another motivation is to put students doing research under my supervision in contact with recognized researchers on the topic, to open up future opportunities (in Brazil and abroad).
