The senior high school students of Bislig City Division filled the love month with an “exciting array of beauty, talents and skills” during the virtual #feb-IBIG ‘21 that aimed at fostering the learners’ interest under the new normal.
The activity is a joint initiative by the Division Federated Supreme Student Government, Youth Formation Section, and the Senior High School Department. It was implemented to cater to the apparent lack of motivation concerning students in this new learning setup. By showcasing their creativity through different forms of contests, the activity serves as an avenue and allows the students to take a break from their academic requirements and have fun.
The participants of this activity in general showcased their skills, talents, beauty and wit and also get additional learnings out from the experiences of their fellow students.
The contested events were: Viral Tiktok Dance Challenge, OPM Singing Contest, Vlog Making, Spoken Poetry, Essay Writing, Infographic Design, and the King and Queen of Hearts. During the virtual culmination the judges shortlisted and recognized the top five entries per category out of 11 participating public schools
The highlights of the activity were the following;
a. Presentation of entries of the different contests.
b. Showcasing of the talent, beauty, wit and skills of the senior high school students
c. Awarding of the Top 5 entries
Indeed, the activity manifested the diverse skills, talents, beauty and intelligences of the students. Good seeds bear good fruits. The seeds of preparation and cooperation bear a fruitful and remarkable #feb-IBIG ‘21. It started well and ended productively. It was certainly another huge success that brought unforgettable and worthwhile experiences to those who joined and witnessed. The joint efforts and hardships of the Teachers, Students, Administrators and the Facilitators are worth rewarding. Thus, everybody really deserved to be recognized and be applauded.
