I carefully work the seam ripper to unpick each individual thread, leaving behind a row of pockmarked fabric. The fabric shakes with each thread that comes undone in my hand, leaving a somewhat uneven trail of evenly spaced holes. Navy blue fibers stick to the space where the seam used to lie, waiting to be brushed off so I can try to resew the seam again.... Read more
