1.2 Academic support system
The teachers are closely monitoring their students to know where to adjust their teaching strategies. In the class of one of my cooperating teachers, Bapa Ridha, since the medium of instruction they use is both Bahasa and English, he always makes sure to slow down when speaking English during discussions. If he notices that the students cannot understand what he is saying in English, he translates it. On the other hand, in the class of Bapa Sarjanawan, another one of my cooperating teachers, he uses English as the medium of instruction most of the time. According to him, this strategy will greatly help his students practice speaking and understanding the English language.
The school has instructional materials provided to teachers, such as a projector and speaker. They also have a computer room for students and a Wi-Fi connection.
