I didn't know what the word "doula" meant until I was about three months into my pregnancy. Thankfully I heard the word and explored the meaning and met you, Katie. I loved meeting with you while I was pregnant. It was lovely to get to know you and I learned so much regarding my pregnancy because of you. I was happy that you made me feel so comfortable, you were never judgmental, you were informative and that you were not only working for us but you were also sharing the excitement of our pregnancy.
I feel like anything that I say isn't good enough because what you did for me I'll never be able to properly reciprocate. It takes somebody special to do what you do. I don't care where you are when baby #2 decides to come into our lives you are attending his/her birth! Although my labor was long and it was the hardest thing I've ever done, it was a nice and comfortable experience and that is in part (a big part) because of you.

Katie's knowledge and support helped us to overcome our anxiety and fears prior to delivery. She fully prepared us for what to expect and what our options would be for a hospital birth. We had an unexpected pre-term birth. Having Katie with us turned what would have been a chaotic, medically controlled experience into a peaceful and positive event. With her help we managed to avoid unnecessary medical interference and stick to our birth plan.
We can never thank her enough for the support, knowledge and expertise she provided.
