Our very first field practice experience as journalism students at President University was reporting at Cikarang Station on September 22, 2022.

On that occasion, we consisted of 4 teams who already have our own angles and have prepared ourselves to do the interview. In fact, we had to face a more complicated reality than what we imagined. Not everyone is ready to be interviewed.

Huft.. What a situation, right? However, as journalism students, we have been taught to be ready for anything and expect the unexpected. It was difficult to put it into actions but we managed to implement all the alternatives we have prepared and finished our first reporting.

On October 30, 2022, we went to Bundaran HI in order to accomplish our midterm. For the midterm, we found several sources with different perspectives towards a specific topic, in journalism we called it as vox populi.

It is a type of taking sources for reporting when we have to choose several people to be interviewed and we have to appreciate their opinion whether they are in the pros side or cons side.
