You are now near Gettysburg, PA and it is July, 1863.  President Lincoln has  yet again had to replace a general, replacing Gen. Joseph Hooker with Gen, George Meade, who has learned the Confederate army is on the move to the North.  Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee has again invaded the North, hoping to draw the Union army into the open and destroy it.  However, Union cavalry has arrived in Gettysburg and secured the high ground to the South of the town.  This will be the largest battle in the history of North America!  A few months after the battle, President Lincoln will deliver a speech to dedicate a cemetery there.  His speech is also included to the left.
