About me

I am a graduate in Forest Engineering (BS and MSc) from University of Valladolid (Spain). Afterwards, I received a PhD with European Mention (October 2010) from the same university (UVa, Sustainable Forest Management Research Institute), supervised by Dr. Carolina Martínez-Ruiz and Prof. Rob Marrs.

Then, I started a career of postdoc positions at University of Liverpool (UK), University of the Basque Country (Spain) and University of LLeida (Spain), where I was working as a Ramón y Cajal fellow. Nowadays, I am associate professor at the University of LLeida.

In my career to date I have been working in different ecosystems and regions worldwide with the aim to understand the impact of disturbances on community dynamics, identifying the underlying ecological mechanisms and processes involved. Settled over my previous research experience, nowadays I am integrating the spatial and temporal dynamics of communities.

Acting as researcher and biostatistician to bridge the gap of my knowledge lacks, but do not saving the world from a bad management.
