Pray that my heart remains open and ready to serve abroad, and that I will be spiritually strengthened and fed as I prepare for this trip.
Pray for wisdom and discernment as I share my faith, especially in conversations with students who may be hearing about Jesus for the first time.
Boldness and Opportunities

Pray for boldness to share the Gospel clearly and lovingly.
Pray for open hearts among the elementary-age students that we will be leading the soccer camp for, that they would be curious and receptive to learning about Jesus.
Pray for divine appointments - opportunities where God places me in the right place at the right time.
Team Unity

Pray for the missionaries we are going to be meeting in Manchester, Kris Kuriger and his family, that they are encouraged by our helpful presence, and that we can be an encouragement rather than a burden on them while we are there.
Pray for strong relationships within my mission team - that there will be unity, patience, and encouragement as we work together.
Pray that each person on the team uses their unique gifts to serve effectively and uplift one another.
Practical Needs

Pray for God's provision in my fundraising efforts - that people feel led to give generously and that the necessary funds will come in.
Pray for smooth travel logistics to and from Manchester as well as safe transportation while in the city.
Pray for physical safety throughout the trip.
Pray for good health for me and my team - that we will be at full strength, both mentally and physically, to serve God.

Pray that the seeds of faith will be planted and continue to grow even after my team leaves. Just as it says in Matthew 13:3-9, pray that the seeds we plant fall on fertile soil.
Pray that God works in my own heart as I work in Manchester - that my faith is strengthened through this experience.
Pray that local churches and Christian communities in Manchester will be strengthened and encouraged by our work.
This summer, I have the opportunity to travel to Manchester, UK, on a mission trip through the South Carolina Baptist Convention Collegiate Ministry program!
I am so excited to travel to Manchester and help lead and coordinate a 3-day soccer (sorry, football) camp for elementary-age students. After playing soccer myself in high school, I am looking forward to being able to share the love of Jesus through the sport.
The rest of the trip will be spent evangelizing around the city of Manchester, and learning how to become all things to all people, just as Paul calls us to do in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.
I will be in Manchester from May 24th through June 2nd this summer, but in order to get there, I need to fundraise $1,100 to cover expenses such as flights, food, and in-country travel costs, as well as to support the soccer camp.
