Joshua's contributions as a Boston Congress of Public Health, Publisher of the Harvard Public Health Review (BCPH) Policy intern in the spring of 2023 were consistently thoughtful and impressive. He exhibited a strong commitment to tracking health policy issues, drafting educational content, and producing insightful articles and Procon analysis. His work demonstrated a deep understanding of public health policy and a keen ability to simplify complex concepts. Notably, Joshua was recognized as the Policy Intern of the Month in March 2023, further underscoring his excellence in the field of Public Health Policy.

Having to face several challenges in bridging the knowledge gap among medical students in policy advocacy, Joshua was resilient and demonstrated remarkable innovative abilities and leadership skills. Through his strategic approach, he successfully organized the largest Policy and Advocacy training in Nigeria within three months, enrolling over 500 trainees. This program covered essential topics and resulted in the development of over 20 Policy Documents on critical global health issues which are still sustained to date.

In his capacity as Chairperson of the Federation of African Medical Students Associations-Standing Committee for Publications, he was responsible for managing a diverse array of communications strategies, including infographics, posters, layout designs, newsletters as well as the Journal Of African Medical Students (JAMS). A notable aspect of his contribution was in setting up the JAMS Editorial Board which demonstrated his commitment to fostering scholarly communication within the medical community. Beyond traditional publications, he also leveraged digital platforms for publicizing FAMSA and its activities through official social media channels, ensuring effective communication and engagement with the wider healthcare community.
