Scholarship opportunities

Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) - A prestigious scholarship for international students.

There are two channels to apply for this scholarship

  1. Japanese embassy/consulate-general in your home country announces this scholarship (postgraduate/ research student), usually, in the first week of April. Remain updated about the announcement by visiting the embassy's homepage regularly.

  2. Through university recommendation. Under this scheme, each university will recommend several Ph.D. candidates to MEXT following a preliminary selection process. If you are interested, please contact me with a sound research plan.


The project for human resources development scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid

Popularly known as JDS, the government staff of selected countries is eligible to apply for this scholarship.
