Biography

Hesci! (That’s ‘hello’ in Mvskoke).

I am currently an instructor for the philosophy department at Elon University, as well as a philosophy PhD student at the University of Washington, Seattle. My main research interests are Native American/American Indian philosophy and ethics.

In 2009 I received my BA in philosophy (applied ethics emphasis) and BASc in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Then, in 2012 I received my MA in philosophy from Virginia Tech. After receiving my MA in philosophy in 2016 from the University of Washington, Seattle, I began working on my PhD.

I am an enrolled member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, but I grew up in Minnesota. When not doing philosophy I enjoy writing, reading, listening to music, and watching sports (Vikings, Timberwolves, Lynx, Wild, United FC, and Twins).
