Narrative Identity Development

My research focuses on the narrative construction of identity at different points in the lifespan. I use multiple methods (e.g., interviews, writing prompts, and surveys) to explore how individuals construct identities concerning their thoughts on “the good life.” I aim to better understand how individuals create meaning and purpose in their lives through the stories they tell about 1) moral development, 2) religion and spirituality, 3) gender and masculinity, and 4) emerging adulthood. I also write about best practices in research methods.
