MY TARGET / LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this activity, a student teacher should be able to identify instances where the pedagogical approaches of the K to 12 Curriculum contained in the law are observed.

MY LEARNING INSIGHTS

As a future teacher we need to know the different practices on how to approach our students.

· Constructivist – connected to past experiences of learners; learners constructed new lesson meanings.

· Inquiry – Based – Developmentally Appropriate – learning activities for the developmental stage of children.

· Reflective:

· Inclusive – no learner was excluded; teacher taught everybody. (No body left aside teacher should have birds eye to see if everyone is participating.

· Collaborative – Student work together. Group work is example for create a good participation to each students.

· Integrative – Lesson was multidisciplinary. Lesson should be attractive to student so they can rely on every topic.

MY REFLECTION

After this episode, I realized that when teaching students, I needed to tread a fine line between various teaching methods. As a future educator, you must use a variety of ways to help learners to apply what they have learned not only at school and in the classroom, but also in their daily lives. When students contemplate doing collaborative tasks with their colleagues, I realized that effective learning occurs not only between the teacher and the learner, but also between the learner and the learner, their classmate/s. Knowing and understanding their classmates' perspectives and expertise is quite essential.

MY PORTFOLIO

Aside from learning by yourself, or doing your project or assignment alone, it is more exciting and memorable if you do it together with your classmates or friends because it allows you to gather additional insights and ideas while participating in activities, and it also allows you to get to know your classmates or friends better. When you conduct activities as a group, you can come up with more creative and innovative solutions. Furthermore, when you collaborate with others, you will learn to embrace the perspectives of others.
