At the end of this activity, the student teacher must be able to determine a school environment that provided social, physiological and physical environment of learning and differentiate the characteristics and needs of learners from the different developmental levels

My mission is to do the following tasks:

• Visit a school. Look into facilities and support learning areas in the campus, the in the classroom

• Accomplish the checklist as you move around the school premises.

• Based on your gathered data in the checklist, describe the school environment.

• Make a reflection on the characteristics of a school environment that promotes learning

• Present your idea of a good school environment through any of these:

My Target/Learning Objectives

1. Look at the walls of the classroom. What are the posted on the walls? What heroes, religious figures, lessons, visual aids, announcement you see posted?

• The school has been transferred to other places so unfortunate the classroom walls has no decorations. Only in the administration and principles have the image of our city mayor.

2. Examine how the figure is arranged. Where the teacher’s table is located? How are the tables chairs/desk arranged?

• The teachers tables are in front of the room some our the outside and others are in the property room. The chair and desk are not arranged but they were all clean and new.

3. What are the learning materials / equipment are present?

• The learning materials i saw were books, laptops and computers

4. Observe the students. How many students are occupying the room?

• The room can occupy 30-40 students as it has a wide space

5. Is the room lighted and well ventilated?

• Yes, all the rooms are lighted and well ventilated even those offices and laboratory

My Analysis

How do the school and the laboratory rooms in particularly impact on the learning of the students on going to school? What are your conclusions?

The building and school environment has a great impact to the students learning development. If the environment is not suit with the learning adaptability students won’t able to concentrate. Thus, in educating students, we also need to consider the best environment for them.

My Reflection

Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed?

Yes. The school has facilities that are good, and if the school do not have that facilities doesn't mean that I don't want to teach there I saw how students need more attention especially in public school, therefore I will be their guidance to lead with their educational experiences. Their perseverance and the way they learn has captured my heart at catch my attention so much.

What kind of school is conducive to learning?

The school campus that is conducive for learning must have a complete, good and operating facilities. There must have also no pollution, clean and well-organized amenities which can able to enhance students learning process without any hindrances from its environment

What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?

A conducive for learning classroom must be clean, free from pollution, properly ventilated and has a complete facilities.

In the future, how you can accomplish your answer in number 3?

Being a good teacher someday, I can accomplish my answer in number 3 by seeking a financial aid to our politicians.Corruption should be avoided within students fund because I know that their purpose is to learn and not about financial entity.

Learning can be motivated. Thus, the environment of the school campus has an important role in motivating the students learning and students experience. Then, it is my opinion to say that the learner’s environment can affect the learner’s learning development and how they will interact with each other.

My Personal Illustration of an Effective School Environment Competitive School Environment

Classroom environment not only has been shown to affect student outcomes and attainment but is a prominent policy issue in a number of countries and regions. The actions of students within classrooms and the creation of a safe and productive learning environment are important for many schools and can be a challenging dimension of teachers’ work. Thus, having an effective school environment is not just about having a clean and spacious room but also have a teacher who has a mindset of believing at trusting their students that they can do it and will always have a positive outcome.

My Reflection

For me, school is our second home as a student who will become a teacher in the near future I should consider everything that will affect the learning of my students even the teacher whom I'm able to work with can also be friendly with their students but not too much it should also have a limitation. A good environment can lead the students to have a better learning
