Exams
Do you have a conflict with another exam or another acceptable reason that requires your exam to be rescheduled? Please tell your instructor at least 10 days in advance and we will work to make the appropriate arrangements.
Homework is always to be handed each week at the beginning of your recitation session or BEFORE. Late submissions will never be accepted. Each assignment consists of some problems that you need to turn in and some that you do not. The latter are always odd numbered exercises from the textbook for which solutions can be found in an appendix. You should solve all exercises because they are part of the course and therefore of what you are expected to know.

Special homework assignments. There are three short special homework assignments that are due roughly two weeks before each exam. You are expected to solve those with special care and hand them to your instructor by the date they are due. These assignments will be carefully graded by the instructors and you will receive detailed and prompt feedback about them that will help you prepare for the exams. The assignments also count toward your grade.
Here is an approximate summary of topics to be covered in class each week (notice that they may vary slightly across sections). The topics covered correspond approximately to chapters 12-16 of the textbook, which is Stewart's Multivariable Calculus, 8th edition.
