Each semester at Brigham Young University–Idaho, there’s a weeklong event called Spirit Week (or Spring Fest, Snow Fest, depending on the semester). With these week long events, a service night is held where students participate in projects to support the campus and community. In Spring 2025, I had the privilege of drawing five different coloring pages for a children’s coloring book that was donated to local hospitals. Each page was printed 2,000 times. The joy I felt seeing stacks of those coloring pages is hard to describe. Knowing that my simple, fun drawings could help brighten the day of children going through difficult challenges was an unforgettable experience. It was a powerful reminder that sharing your talents—no matter how small they may seem—can make a meaningful difference.
