My full name is Jorge Pérez García. In Spain we have two family names (first for the father, second for the mather). Feel free to call me Jorge or Geroge if we meet at the university or in a coffee break!
In 2025 I graduated from my PhD under the supervision of Adrián González and Javier Parcet, at the Institute of Mathematical Science (ICMAT), Madrid.
Now I am a postdoc at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Mathematics (IASM) at HIT (Harbin, China).
My research area is usually called non-commutative harmonic analysis. It means: using an analyst's perspective to study algebraic structures such as von Neumann algebras, C*-algebras or sometimes ('just') groups.
