About me
About me
My full name is Jorge Pérez García. In Spain, we typically have two family names, so feel free to call me just Jorge if we meet at the university or during a coffee break!
I have spent my last 4 years doing my PhD in math under the supervision of Adrián González and Javier Parcet, at the Institute of Mathematical Science (ICMAT), Madrid.
I will defended my thesis on September 2025. Next stop will be HIT (Harbin, China)!
My research area is usually called non-commutative harmonic analysis. It means: using an analyst's perspective to study algebraic structures such as von Neumann algebras, C*-algebras or sometimes ('just') groups.
