Welcome to my website

I am a Associate Professor in Political Science at the University of Barcelona, ICREA Academia Fellow and member of the Institutions and Political Economy Research Group. I hold a PhD in Political Science (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, 2009). Since 2021, I serve as director of the Center for Public Opinion Studies of the Catalan government.

I teach research methods, political behavior and comparative politics. My fields of research include comparative political behavior and historical political economy. I am interested in how citizens react to political shocks. I have published work on the enfranchisement, and experimental work on the political consequences of corruption, terrorism, political violence, immigration or secessionism, among others.

My work has been published in the Journal of Politics, Political Analysis, the British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, Political Science Research and Methods, the Journal of Peace Research or Party Politics, among others.
