Jonathan McKinney

Hello...

My name is Jonathan McKinney (he/him).

I completed my PhD in Philosophy and an MA in Ecological Psychology through the Center for Cognition, Action, and Perception (CAP) at the University of Cincinnati. My dissertation was titled "The Philosopher’s Path to San José: Toward a Cross-Cultural Radical Embodied Cognitive Science" and brought together Japanese and Buddhist philosophies with the Enactive and Ecological approaches in Cognitive Science.

I completed my MA in Comparative Philosophy at the University of Hawai'i with an emphasis on Buddhist and Japanese Philosophies.

I am currently the organizer of a research group titled Environmental Cognitive Science that brings together cognitive science and environmental ethics to explore the ecological dimensions of cognition.

I love teaching, Lo-Fi, and using games to build worlds.
