Green Onion Grower

Repeatably bended parts experience material failure due to increased material stress σ = yM/I at extremities where y is furthest from the neutral axis. For a singular part, living hinges can withstand hundreds of fatigue cycles. As an economic cook, I wanted to regrow green onions in Tupperware, turning to additive manufacturing instead of subtractive to avoid perforating the existing lid.

Wheeled Desk

I designed this part to practice using configurations in Solidworks part design. When I'm up working after my roommates have gone to bed, I added caster wheels to my desk to make it portable and alleviate scratching on the hardwood floor. Now I can enjoy the ergonomics of my work station in the living room. More importantly, I can continue using my dual monitor setup!

Toe Cast

To help my mom recover from her injury, I designed and fabricated a toe cast by stitching splines and surfaces. One common and effective treatment for a sprained or fractured toe is immobilization. Making a brace low-profile, ergonomic, and rigid requires a custom design for each person's unique anatomy.
