Building the Hardware

I designed, sourced, programmed, and assembled off-the-shelf components to create a water cycling system to validate a product at a hydroponics startup I worked at over the summer of 2022.

Arduino, peristatic pump, and power supply unit wired and soldered together

3D printed fixtures secure electronics for measuring water level and siphoning water

Designing Product Components

I created back panel mounts that would hold elbow connectors I sourced, making sure to incorporate positive draft angles for injection molding and snap fit connections to secure the nozzle for refilling the growing trays.
