Jonas Baltes

I just defended my thesis with the title "Curves on K3 surfaces and Hilbert schemes" which was supervised by Frank Gounelas at the University of Göttingen.

Before that I did my master's degree at the University of Bonn with Georg Oberdieck and my bachelor's degree at the University of Saarland with Frank-Olaf Schreyer.

My academic interests lie in complex algebraic geometry. Currently, I am working on curves on K3 surfaces, Hilbert schemes of points and applications of stability conditions to classical questions, e.g. Seshadri constants.

Code project:

Moduli spaces on K3 surfaces (GitHub). This code implements the classification from the paper "MMP for moduli spaces of sheaves on K3s via wall-crossing" by A. Bayer and E. Macrí and is used in the upcoming paper "Hilbert schemes and Seshadri constants".
