Over the years, the environment of the Colosseum has definitely been adapted and changed by humans.

The Colosseum was originally commissioned in 70-72 AD. [3]
It was officially open to the public in 80 AD. [5]
In the 6th century, the display of the Colosseum ended and the Colosseum was eventually abandoned. During this time, stones from the Colosseum were taken and used for other projects in Rome. [5]
In the 1990's, humans began to restore the Colosseum after years of neglect and natural disasters destroyed 2/3's of it. [5]
