I am a field-oriented biologist broadly interested in conservation and wildlife ecology. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Auguste Lab in the Department of Entomology at Virginia Tech, focusing on arboviral disease dynamics in both field and laboratory settings. You can follow me on twitter @anthusspragueii and on Instagram @jmuller51.
As a dedicated researcher and educator in wildlife ecology, my vision is to advance our understanding of ecological systems through rigorous field-based research that integrates scientific inquiry, community engagement, and environmental stewardship. I aim to inspire the next generation of ecologists by fostering a collaborative learning environment where students actively participate in hands-on field studies, critically analyze ecological data, and contribute to conservation efforts. By bridging academic research with practical application, I envision creating a vibrant ecosystem of knowledge that promotes sustainable practices, enhances biodiversity, and addresses the pressing challenges facing wildlife in a rapidly changing world.
