Thesis Students
Thesis Students
Dr. Doucette prefers to supervise undergraduate theses with a scientific focus, which involve:
- surveying the academic literature in an area of computer science
- formulating a testable hypothesis
- writing or assembling software tools that test the validity of the hypothesis in a methodologically sound way.
Theses involving the proof of formal mathematical results related to Artificial Intelligence are also preferred.
Theses involving the engineering of a practical software tool, the creation of an artistic work involving software, or topics in software design and engineering may not be suited to Dr. Doucette's expertise. However, Dr. Doucette is happy to serve as a committee member (but not an adviser) on any thesis involving computing or computer science.
