I am a retired information worker and an aspiring lifelong learner

with decidedly eclectic interests and pursuits.

I am a proud son of two librarians, 

 Harold O Harlan, Sr. (1927-1961; MLS, University of Illinois, 1950) 

and Donna Belat Harlan (1926-1996; MLS, Columbia University, 1950),

and the younger brother of Harold O Harlan, Jr. ("Hal") (1954-1957).

I was also honored and humbled to be a human submissive to a succession of feline dominants: 

Tippy, Tigra, Felice, and JR (aka John Roberts)
