John T. and Helen T. Mooney Memorial Scholarship

The John T. and Helen T. Mooney Memorial Scholarship Fund is a private nonprofit fund established in 1998. The Mooney Family is committed to supporting quality education by providing  annually, tuition assistance in the form of a scholarship to a student presently attending St. Bernard  School who shows exceptional promise.

Mission Statement: To assist students of exceptional promise in reaching their full potential through quality education.

To fulfill this mission, the Mooney Family presents an annual scholarship award to a student of special character, who demonstrates academic excellence, citizenship, community service, service to his/her school community,  and who possesses a strong desire to achieve personal goals through quality education. These were many of the attributes that both Helen and John Mooney exemplified in their everyday lives.

It is our policy to treat all candidates with respect and dignity and to provide equal opportunity to all applicants without discrimination.

This policy governs all aspects of the scholarship application and award process. All information received on an application will be handled confidentially.
