I absolutely love what I do! I am an interdisciplinary scientist and engineer at the frontier of the biology of our cells and tissues pushing the envelope on technology development, computational tools, and cell engineering approaches to improve therapies. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the privilege to work alongside a talented and equally interdisciplinary team of lab members, colleagues, collaborators, and students who inspire and drive innovation every day

Bio: John completed his postdoctoral training in Garry Nolan's lab at Stanford University, where he used and developed systems biology tools to analyze spatial relationships among cells in tissues. Prior to that, he pursued his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University under the guidance of Dr. Jonathan Schneck and Hai-Quan Mao. During his doctoral studies, he developed magnetic nanoparticles for enriching and expanding rare antigen-specific T cells, as well as the design of hydrogels for adoptive T cell therapy.
