After inside is cut out out, the fram needs to be glued back togerther.
Orignal Drawer Construction
First cuts are made to make the storage in drawer, will be glued back togerther later.
Clamp to hold glueing together.
Finished drawer after sanding and handle.
Drawer fitting into box.
Top Left: Chop saw is used to make sure sides of box are completely flat. Bottom Left Showing curves that sander makes. Right: Box after glued and sanded.
Using a different kind of wood, the end of the box was created after a previos step was missed, this help keep the drawer from only opening from one side. It has been sanded to fit flush with the rest of the box.
Unsuccessful attempt to create the drawer attached to an end piece of wood to go on the box.
Was able to devise a system to create a drawer the has an end piece on it. This provides a cleaner look to the box with less visivle glue areas.
Final Sanding and Oil
Sanding piece that drawer is connected to to line it up with rest of box.
Wood oil is used to change the color of the wood but also protect it from damage.
Final design after many days of hard work.
