Torque, Tap & Die 

Using a thread pitch gage, was able to measure the number of threads per inch (tpi) on the bolt, which is one way of determining the type of bolt. 

This is a 5/16 long bolt with a tpi of 18

Used to find the right sized drill bit for taping a hole, which is adding threads for a bolt to be screwed it, the size of the drill bit needs to account for the threading being created, which is why a chart is used.

Used to find the right setting on the torque wrench before using when an adapter is put on it, changing the length needs to be taken into a count and this is the calculations that are done to find that out
