Trainer
Barbara is the founder of Muzaïek, a youth organization in Ghent, Belgium, that has been bringing art and culture to children and young people since 2004 through camps, workshops, play days, and training courses.
With more than 25 years of experience in youth work, Barbara began as an animator and later became a trainer and instructor. She also holds a degree in secondary education with a specialization in music education and mathematics.
At Muzaïek, Barbara develops and leads creative projects, training courses, camps, and workshops for children, young people, and adults. What started as a passion project has grown into her full-time profession, with Muzaïek now reaching more than 3,500 participants each year.
In 2022, Barbara participated in the Erasmus+ training course “Lifelong Playing” through JOETZ. This experience inspired her to share Muzaïek’s expertise through a new Erasmus+ training course developed in partnership with JOETZ.
In this project, Barbara is responsible for the quality of the training content and creating a safe and engaging learning.
Trainer
Over more than nine years at Muzaïek, Robin grew from an enthusiastic youth animator into an experienced head animator and trainer. His roots in youth work run deep, starting as a scouts kid and later becoming a scouts leader and coordinator at his local group - roles that also fostered his passion for outdoor adventures.
After co-facilitating the first version of this 'Creative Toolbox' training course in 2024, Robin went on to discover the world of non-formal education. He is driven by how non-formal learning uses experiential, hands-on methods to inspire participants and give them agency to learn in their own way.
His fascination with learning methodologies led him to his daily job as a science teacher at a secondary school in Belgium.
For this course, Robin will bring together his educational experience and youth work energy to deliver the content and build an open, powerful learning environment for every participant.
Liselotte is the main contact person for building and maintaining international partnerships within the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes.
At JOETZ, she coordinates projects with trainers, facilitators, volunteers, and youth workers while ensuring strong collaboration with partners. As the president of JINT, the Flemish National Agency, she stays informed about developments in international youth work and contributes to shaping youth policy.
Her academic background includes degrees in pedagogical sciences, social work, and teacher training, and she previously taught behavioural and cultural sciences in secondary school.
