ABOUT
I received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Princeton in 2012 and a master's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas in fall 2013.
I'm a runner, and interest in movement and proprioception of the body has guided me toward robotics, electromechanical systems, drones, control, and perception along with the fields of computer vision and machine learning.
I believe we still have yet to see the most world-changing applications these areas are capable of producing. My current career goal is to work with a company that is using novel hardware and software technology to solve important social and environmental problems.
In 2021 I'm excited to enter into engineering professionally, following a career as a professional athlete. During that time I also worked on personal engineering projects and started a company.
I competed as a professional long distance runner for the ZAP Endurance elite running team in North Carolina, qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Trials, running several sub-four minute miles, and traveling around the world to competitions. A non-profit, the ZAP Endurance Foundation has financially supported 8-10 American long distance runners in pursuit of Olympic glory since its founding in 2001. The organization additionally holds adult summer running vacations and educates hundreds of clients each season in the science and psychology of endurance training. In my time at ZAP I gained invaluable interpersonal experience, work ethic, and forged lifelong relationships with team mates and clients.
