Journalist in Salford, Greater Manchester
Originally from Ipswich, I moved to Salford in 2023 to study Multimedia Journalism at the University of Salford. I love Manchester and all the opportunities it brings. I'm looking forward to working with more communities, telling more stories and being able to grow into my career.
I have always been an avid reader, mostly of fiction, which has led me down the journalistic path. I love to tell other people's stories as much as I enjoy reading them. Some of my favourite pieces to write about are of the everyday community heroes who deserve recognition for the work that they do. From winning awards to charity fundraisers, being able to showcase the many talents around Greater Manchester and beyond inspires me to continue working on a variety of stories, hopefully inspiring a new generation of journalists.
In my spare time, I love to explore and hike around the surrounding towns and villages in Manchester and beyond. My favourite places to visit so far have been Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, Longdendale in Derbyshire, Betws-y-Coed in Conwy, Wales.
This is me with my Salford Now team on our final news day together. We have all worked closely together for the past two years, supporting each other inside and outside the newsroom. It is an absolute privilege to call them my friends and I am so excited to see them flourish in their careers. Love you all x
I also love live music! Going to see artists in large venues such as the Co-op Live or small intimate sets like in the basement of the Peer Hat always appeal to me and I try to go as often as I can to support grassroots venues and independent artists.
