Digitising Polygon Features

Screen digitising allows us to take a georeferenced image and edit it to create a new feature class containing polygon features. 

The new polygons will contain attribute information such as shape length and shape area, and we can add additional attributes to allow us to query and analyse the information as needed.

When digitising an image it is important to choose an appropriate scale. If our scale is too small we can overgeneralise data. If our scale is too large, it can take us a long time to digitise the data.
