There are a few key steps to a job search. Often, finding a job will take multiple applications. Knowing where and how to look can help you submit applications to multiple jobs with less effort to make sure you find a position.
First, think about your skills. What are you qualified to do? What are you good at? It's important to keep this in mind while searching for jobs, and reading job descriptions to review their requirements can help you determine a good fit for your qualifications.
Then, think about your network. Let your friends, family, teachers, and neighbors know that you're looking for a summer job. They may have connections or know of opportunities that aren't advertised publicly.
Next, think about your career goals. What do you want to do after high school? Is there a job you can apply for now that will help you build skills that will apply to your future career?
Then, think about businesses that you love. Consider your neighborhood and the places you like to go, like restaurants, stores, and activity spaces like the gym or museum. Check their website, contact them, or even stop by to ask if they're hiring.
Next, use the power of the internet! Below you will find some websites that you can use to find jobs and opportunities.
Finally, don't give up! Finding the right summer job may take some time, so don't get discouraged if you don't hear back from every place you apply to. (You probabaly wont! Employers get a lot of applications, and may not be able to reply to everyone individually.) Keep applying to different opportunities until you find the right fit.
Many companies post their open positions on Indeed.com. It's a virtual job board for employers and people looking for work.
Some positions allow you to apply directly through Indeed.com, which requires an account. Other jobs on the Indeed job board may link directly to a company's website for you to apply there.

It sounds like an instruction to just go Google some jobs, but Google Jobs is actually Google's job search feature!

LinkedIn is a social media for professional networking. It can be a valuable tool to find and connect with people professionally.
To apply for jobs on LinkedIn, you need to create a profile. Your profile should be professional, and should have similar or even the same information as your resume. It's a good idea to make sure your profile is complete and ask someone to proofread it for you before you use it to apply for jobs.

Many companies post job openings directly on their websites. If there are specific companies you're interested in working for, visit their website. Look in the menu bar to see if there is a menu option along the lines of "Careers" or "Join us" on their homepage. If you don't see something in the menu, scroll to the bottom of the page and look in the footer (very bottom) of the webpage. Look for a link called "Careers" "Job Opportunities" or something similar. That will be where you can find open positions.
Here are a few things to consider in your search for a job:
How will you get to work? The method and length of your commute is important while you manage a part time job with your schoolwork.
How much does the position pay? The Massachusetts minimum wage is $15 per hour. Don't forget that your paycheck will have taxes taken out of it.
How will this job benefit your long term goals? It may not always be possible to find a part time job that is related to your future career plan, but sometimes you can find a position where you're still using skills that will apply to future opportunities - customer service related to almost everything!
