This example student chose to use a career objective to clearly state what kind of positions they're looking for and what they'll bring to the role.

They've used action verbs to outline their work history, emphasizing sales related tasks and balancing the register which relates perfectly to the types of roles Jesse mentions in the objective statement. If you were an employer hiring someone to work at the register, wouldn't you want to be sure they could accurately handle transactions?

The student has emphasized their skills in a dedicated skills section, building on what they've already shown in their experience.

This example student's objective is specific to the exact job they are using this resume to apply for.

They've mentioned relevant coursework in high level classes, which is especially relevent because their objective states they are interested in a tutoring position.

Both of the experiences they've included directly related to the job they're applying to, which is great! They've used action words to describe what they do at both of these experiences.

The student chose to include some personality/attitude related skills (adaptability and that they are self motivated). This can help a prospective employer understand what it might be like to work with you and highlight aspects of  your personality that will make you successful in the job.

This example student's objective is more vague, but still explains a little bit about what they're interested in. 

Despite not having any prior work experience, this student's resume shows specific skills and benefits of hiring them. 

They created a "languages" section to show their bilingual skills.

They've included volunteering experience, and made it clear they have volunteered consistently by listing the number of hours and years.

They've also shown leadership skills by listing their years on the basketball team, which they're captain of!
