Associate Professor of Philosophy at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Brazil; Head of the Office for International Cooperation at PUCRS ; leader of the Contemporary Epistemology Research Group (CNPq) and permanent member of the Analytic Epistemology Working Group (ANPOF).

I work mainly in contemporary epistemology. My current projects focus on the following issues: epistemic defeasibility, the epistemology of inference, and the Gettier problem.
