My work focuses on understanding what drives adults to engage in lifelong learning. Despite the growing need for continuous education, many people do not participate in training or skill development programs. Why? My research seeks to answer this question by identifying the psychological factors influencing lifelong learning participation.
To do this, I am:
Developing an index that maps out key predictors of lifelong learning participation.
Using the Reasoned Action Approach (Fishbein & Ajzen, 2010) to model the role of attitudes, norm and control perceptions in shaping an individual's likelihood to participate in work-related training and courses.
