No. Honours is a pathway to the PhD, but it also serves as a capstone experience for undergraduates who don't plan to stay in mathematics.
The College of Science has entry requirements that apply to all Honours specialisations. Beyond those, MSI requires applicants to have taken 8 upper-level maths classes (at least 4 of which are 3000-coded) and to identify an MSI staff member who has agreed to supervise the thesis.
Yes! Honours students can take any 6000-coded maths class. Please see the Honours tab on the MSI courses page.
